From Crane Cottage to the croquet lawn, the historic Jekyll Island Club Hotel served as an absolutely wonderful location for the latest cover and feature shoots for Jacksonville Magazine’s BRIDE. There were a couple of pictures I was thinking of submitting for the cover, but in the end Kaylee and her smile won out.
All of us braved the sweltering July heat and humidity to produce the shoot, which should be hitting newsstands next week (but is at the website right now!).
And the editorial feature…
We had over 20 dresses, three models, a room full of jewelry, shoes, and accessories, which made it extremely tough to choose the final shots. Here are some more images that didn’t make it into the editorial:

Christy and Damon are a lovely couple from Chicago who brought down their family and friends for a destination wedding at the historic Jekyll Island Club Hotel on Jekyll Island, GA. Jenna and Perry were married on a perfect day at the Beachview Club in Jekyll Island. The ceremony and reception were held outdoors next to the ocean, with guests dancing all night to ma mix that went from Madonna to Bell Biv Devoe.
Jenna was absolutely stunning in her Alvina Valenta gown. Perry’s groomsmen were cool in their Guayabera shirts and matching Converse All Stars.

Ashaki and Embry were married in a stately outdoor ceremony on the lawn of Crane Cottage at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. The whole event fit them perfectly; they truly are the epitome of style and sophistication.
From the ceremony being officiated by her father to Ashaki being serenaded by her sorority sisters to her two stunning wedding gowns — matched with the cutest pink Kate Spade shoes — the entire event was fantastic, with so many great moments and details.
In a fun and nostalgic nod to the graduation ceremony from their college days at Emory University, the guests toasted the couple with ice-cold bottles of Coca-Cola.
