Elleanor & Nate were absolute dream clients. Not only are they a lovely couple, they have impeccable taste and had a beautiful ceremony and reception planned.

But sometimes even the best laid plans don’t quite work out.

Elleanor’s contact at her original florist had moved away before the wedding, and when she went to check on her flowers the day before the wedding the order was all wrong. Elleanor’s sister and matron of honor Elaine immediately got on the phone calling the florists she knew of in town to make the impossible happen. After a few unsuccessful calls Elaine asked her sister to name her dream florist and Elleanor said Liz Stewart. So they crossed their fingers and made the call.

Liz Stewart Floral Design totally saved the day.

When they told Liz what happened — and even though she was completely booked — she put together amazing arrangements of orchids, roses, peonies, and hydrangeas for the wedding in a single day.

After a very stressful two days for Elleanor and Nate, everything came together for a fantastic wedding.

Vy is so creative and she worked so hard on the details of her wedding. She made all of the centerpieces, jewelry for the bridal party, the programs, and even more. If you’ve read my blog before you probably seen the amazing wedding dress that her mom crafted. It’s pretty obvious that the creative gene runs in her family.

Chris and Vy are great together and were great hosts for a party at the University Club, atop the Wachovia Tower overlooking the St. Johns River. The guests danced until the very end and I suspect the party still went on even after Chris and Vy made their exit.

I didn’t notice how perfect this light pattern was while I was taking the picture. When I looked at it later I saw how the light made a heart shape above Vy and Chris and thought it was so cool!
